Heavy Rain Thoughts (WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW)

Hey there Internets, long time no see. I want to get right into this so let's begin.

I was actually blown away that Scott Shelby was the killer because I thought the developers said that none of the characters is the killer. When I started putting the pieces back together, I was like "THE EFFF!?". If I were to rate the game, I would have to say it is a "Must Play"! Ya, I don't think putting a number rating on it justifies how amazing the game is. Ya, sure, it has ton of plot holes but I haven't played anything like this before (I never got my hands on Indigo Prophecy). The way the game deals with tension is some of the most interesting things to come to games. Also, I would have to say that some scenes really strike some emotion in you (i.e. when Ethan blacks out and is running around to find his son).

So, I would have to say the game's graphics and animation areas are outstanding. You can really tell how much detail they put into this game! The voice acting got a little annoying time to time(the kids in this game feel emotionless when they speak/show emotion).

I often found myself taking a break from the game just because of how tense/nerve racking some of the events were. It was really tiring (in a good way) when you were always on the edge of your seat trying to press the right button combination. But on the other hand, I was always wanting to find more clues on who is the origami killer.

The one other thing I wanted to say is how I liked replaying the game and carefully listening/watching Scott Shelby's emotions and thoughts. I think I spent a lot of time at Game Faqs reading everyone's speculations on Scott's character. It was then I realized how much I actually cared about the character. I made all my actions with this character in a positive way. I saved the store clerk, saved the mom, saved Kramer, saved Lauren and here I go finding out he was the killer the whole time. Now, this may be different with everyone else (that's why this game is soo great) but that's how I just felt.

Now for some plot holes that have been mentioned on the internet. The first one is that the game never really tells you how/why Ethan mars blacks out and finds origami figures in his hand. The next thing that really irritated me was that the game never really tells you why the reporter gives the look she gives when Anne Shepard tells her that the origami killer is Scott Shelby? There are some more plots holes but those are the ones that really stuck to me.

Overall, go try out this game!!!

Game Design

Interesting video I saw that @insomniacgames posted.

On Break!

Hey guys! I saw this on Kotaku and it brought me back when I use to play with Legos as a kid.

There was always the 3 different building items that kids use to build with when I was a kid. What was your building equipment? I personally loved Legos and always tried to work the K'Nex. I had a few Tinker Toys but I always ended up making swords/gun type items from them so I don't remember making any cool. As for Legos, oh man. The creative and love I spent into making cities/cars was a cite to see. I also had one of the giant containers that had a mix of everything along with many different builds (ranging from Aliens to Robin Hood). If you don't remember any of what I stated, maybe the pictures below might spark a memory or two!

Eye pet looks so adorable!

Sony hit my sweet spot for these virtual pets. It looks like some casual fun!

Fat Princess comes on the 30th!

2 days! 2 more days till Fat Princess comes out. Watching all the gameplay videos reminds me of a old Playstation 1 game called "Team Buddies". I was chating with my buddy Greg a couple days ago at school, we both came to a conclusion. This generation's arcade games have created more excitement for us than some of our "Hardcore" title picks. Especially on the PSN network with innovative titles like Pixel Junk Monsters, Warhawk, Flower, Rag Doll Kung Fu(A major upgrade from the original PC title) and the upcoming Fat Princess. Also, can't forget titles like Castle Crashers and Splosion Man(I might have spelt this wrong). What these titles provide is a bit of a break from the causal shooter or action genre.

Fat Princess interview from the Playstation Blog

I'm back!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the leap of absence from the blogging community!

The question I've been asking myself ever since the Playstation 3 was first released so long ago *remembers the PS3 lines to find out that the store you waited at only had like 3 PS3s. ahh the memories!* is what the heck is up with the R2 and L2 buttons. I know that they were going to perfect for certain games but I didn't know which ones. As I opened up my box of random games, I found my copy of Twisted Metal 4. Popping it into my PS3, I soon realized that the R2 and L2 buttons were made perfect for this game! The feel of pressing the triggers to shoot my misles and machine gun bullets was so satisfying.

The thing I basically wanted to ask was, hey Sony, where's my Twisted Metal 6? WHERE!?
